Mig welder infor

Hi All
Ive got disco 1 its has a few months MoT on it but its going to need some welding im looking at getting a mig welder and do the work myself.
Can anyone recommend a diy mig welder or can you advise me on the amps out put i would need.

first thing is can you weld , dont matter what unit you buy if you cant !!

Buy a proper mig that uses gas not the gasless crap things thatll cost you a fortune on wire.

Buy the most powerfull one you can afford, one day youll wish you had.

The bigger the roll of wire it holds the cheaper the wire works out.

I,m a welder mate and this is good advice from EeEk. Gasless migs are crap. Buy as big as you can ( not 3phase if its a DIY'r, i know guys who have made that mistake at auctions ) and you will need to know someone with an account with Gas Supply company, BOC or Air Products etc to get bottles refilled.

or some one hwo can exchange a bottle of pub gas (co2)
