Midlands laning

As per my other posts, recently bought a disco td5, looking to get out on some lanes if anybody is doing so in the area?

Car is well equipped to go off road so shouldn't get stuck to easy.

Open to suggestions really, laning, pay and play etc, nightmare to go on your own and get stuck! A mate of mine has a disco 1 that he will happily drive into a lake upto the dash, not really wanting to destroy my car yet, maybe in a year or 2!

where about in the Midlands are you :scratching_chin: as there are threads on here for most parts of the midlands already

I'm based Sutton Coldfield, but don't mind travelling

where abouts in sutton? i was born at good hope but now live in tamworth.

What are you looking to do? get muddy, get stuck? a nice day out in the countryside? good company and a bit of driving?

I don't mind getting muddy, getting stuck minor cosmetic damage etc, just really don't want to go wading. The idea of having water in the disco worries me a bit, they are non for electrical issues!

My Td5 defender has been through a river where the water was lapping at the windows. :lol:

There is a bit of waterproofing you can do on the ECU and he relays etc. Disco or Defender?

EDIT:

Is yours the blue TD5 disco with the ins a turbos, i saw parked just down from the traffic lights the other day?

Im working away for the next week and i have a baby due the week after but in the near future if you haven't found anyone to take you out ill sort a day out nearby. There isn't anything a rav4 on road tyres couldn't handle by us anyway.

No mines is a white one on turbos

Think I need to waterproof the ecu etc

maybe I'm smoking crack and it was white not blue. :doh:

I have a mate who lives on st judes on the old defence estates and i remembered seeing a disco on the way. Thought it was blue!
