No doubt you know all about not mixing Synchrones with Latitudes. I was looking this week to see if Synchrones were still available new.
You may be interested that apparently, in the USA, Synchrones are still available in just the one size 225/55R17. See 4x4 Synchrone | Michelin Tires, scroll to bottom of that page for size info.
Conversely Latitude Tour HPs are not available in 225/55R17 in the States! I think we know why!
If you had contacts in the US or people who ship stuff from there to here, and can afford $256 per tyre + shipping, then Synchrones can apparently be had new, see tirerack.com: Michelin 4x4 Synchrone
Quite why Michelin cannot still supply them here in UK (given all the trouble there has been with mixing Latitudes with Synchrones) I don't know, because the country of origin (i.e. manufacture) for those USA tirerack Synchrones is listed as France, where they are also not available on the market!

You are 2-weeks too late, just sold a brand-new one for £50 (it was advertised on here). It was the spare on my wife's 2006 TD4 but had never touched tarmac and had been protected from the sun by a cover.
Replaced them with a set of five Hankook Ventus RH06, so far they have been excellent in both dry & wet weather and at £615 for a set of five (fitted) not expensive.

Yes, I have 4 of them in the garage taking up room that I want for something else, so selling them v cheap.

I recon I got lucky as in may 2010 I bought 4 brand new synchrones from blackcircles, £650 for 4, that included delivery, fitting, valves and vat.
Tyre date was 1210 on all 4 so they were made only 2 months before I got them. Great tyres, done 17.5k since and the fronts are still over 6mm of tread, rears nearly perfect.
