I've picked up a pair of Mazda RX8 seats (Non Electrical) that I plan on fit in my 1984 Landrover 110.

Can anyone confirm if a third RX8 seat will fit in the middle. That would leave 3 Mazda Rx8 seats in the front.

I've two boys and to stop arguments I'm going to have to try and make two seats work somehow - I can just see the arguments now if I only change out the drivers and main passenger seat. Keep in mind that I have a 1984 110 that has no door cards that will be fouling the side of the seat.

Help please guys....

Don't write it off yet... It could be easier than trying to deal with two boys (6 & 8). I feel like I'm trying to control a mob...

You've just found the answer...
Put the RX seats in the back and fit a dog cage :D

on a serious note - put the 2 seats in loose and measure the gap between them then compare that to the width of the seat?
The passenger side would probably move across 6-8cm closer to the door, but if you did the same with the drivers seat you would be at a weird angle every time you drove and it would drive you mad.!

The drivers position is already a little of center. I don't know what to do....
I've an offer for a matching 2nd pair of Mazda seats for very small money but I have to get them tomorrow if I'm going ahead with them. So, I need to make a call on it as to what I'm going to do... If they would physically fit, I would almost live with being slightly further off center.

Thanks for that Mick - I'm sure I found an image online before of the 3 RX8 seats....

You hardly have any pictures taken mick?
Bad photo but you get the idea

Im using the seat belt clips from the mazda which are bolted to the seat, that save a few cm. As you say, with no door cards you may have a chance but as Wayne said make sure the drivers seat is centered comfortably for driving and push the other two over.

Mick, I seem to remember your seats were powered. Did you get round to wiring them up ??
I still have a set sitting in the garage to fit this summer. I feel a bit on edge about setting the airbags off accidently

Not yet, I'm still trying to find a decent wiring and switching diagram for the motors and the heat. I know which wires to use and will cut and isolate the air bag wires. I wired them with a temporary set up so I could move the drivers seat. I had to get a new motor for the seat up and down motion as the drive shaft had broken off. There's a video on you tube about a guy fitting them into a vw van

Cheers mate. I seen the VW guys video a wee while ago and it is helpful. I'll get round to it soon and I will try and remember to post something up on here if successful.
