Hey all : Trying to replace my master cylinder clutch ( Freelander td4 2004 ) ... followed instructions in the Haynes manual ( please don’t laugh ) ... all was going well when I can to disconnecting the end of the master cylinder pipe that fits together with the end of the slave.Apparantly I should just prise them apart but it is not going anywhere and seems stuck.
Also the slave itself looks nothing like any of those I can purchase online or anything like the one shown in the manual There is definitely no Cclip to remove. ( hope I’m making sense here ) .... there is a bleed pipe so I’m wondering if I open the bleed a little it may release the pressure it could be under ? Allowing me to separate them ? ... my other question is if there is a bleed pipe why isn’t there a reservoir for fluid ? I am told it’s a sealed unit .. why allow it to be bled if you can’t replace the fluid.... maybe I’m just being stupid here can anyone shine a light

Dunno.
Post in the correct Freelander forum and you will or should get a better response.
