Greetings,

my '87 90 is going through a 2.5NAD to Disco 200TDI conversion soon , and as part of that, I'm fitting the PAS box. So I've got my PAS box, but I'm going to have to do something about the drop arm. My 90 has the ball-joint as part of the drop arm, but the ball joint is on the steering rod on a disco, with just a hole for it in the drop arm. I either need to swap the drop arm over, or was wondering if I could just swap the drag link end for one with a ball joint, because I think I might have a problem getting the drop arm off my old manual steering box, and the drag link end might be a lot cheaper than a new drop-arm.

my other idea was to replace my front axle with a disco one, as the diff has an awful lot of slop, and I get an awful clunking from it! Would it be a fair direct swap? Brake lines having the same fitment etc?

any help appreciated!

disco drop arm is a good conversion to do as it makes ball joint service easier to do instead of having to rebuild the drop arm.
You will also need a bracket to connect your steering damper to the disco drag link.
Well worth it
