Manifolds

Hi i was thinking about spraying my v8 manifolds can anbody recommend how to prep them and a suitable paint to use.

i painted my v6 manifold after a spate of OCD fuelled madness! i just prep'ed them as you would anything else, wire brushed all the ****e off, washed them in de-greaser, washed that off and then sprayed them with some high temp paint. the paint has some special instructions on them so for once i actually followed them to the letter!! think that was also the OCD kicking again!!

i thought i got red paint but turns out is bright fookin orange!!! looks kinda groovy on my now shiny blue engine!! the paint was from my local auto parts place, cost 5 quid for a tin.

I think Frost Restoration sells paint for manifolds.

uht paint halfrauds sell it, i used some on one of my motory bikes and it was ok
