As I've bought another 90 I'm swiping bits about and wanting to take my 90 hardtop more of s daily driver gut my wife,

1st off I'm taking the 35" simex for the new 1, but there 285/75/16 on the new one in the same tread so I'm going to change them for either a softer mud or something like bf at, maybe 265/75/16 or 235/85/16

I'm taking my 8274 off and front bumper going to put a tubular bumper on,

I'm taking the arb lockers and shafts ect to put on the new one.

I'm wanting to use it for towing my new 90 and a horse trailer so was thinking of removing the Gwyn Lewis suspention and fitting some stiffer springs still +2" tho, i won't be fitting it to the new one as its already got it on.

I'm wanting to make it quieter inside, was thinking fully ply lining it wit insulation on the sides. And some more sound proofing throught

Anything eles you would do?

Def do some sound proofing. I used closed cell foam camping mats on the van sides and EV stable mat on the load bay and it has made a massive difference. I have also made a concentrated effort to block up any gaps around the doors, in the floor etc.

I have also glued some of the camping mats inside the doors which helps a little (and makes them feel nicer when you close them). Make sure you use high temp adhesive for everything or it will come off when the sun shines on the outside.

Don't know what seats you have in it, but would recommend something more comfortable than the standard ones.

Sell it and buy a Disco 1/RRC? Will do everything a D90 will off road and much better on road. Hence the whole reason they exist in the first place ;)

I know my mate has a d1 and other pal has a d2 n my dad has a d4,

I don't want it for off roading that's what my challenge trucks for,
I would sell it but I have done everything to it now and feel I could buy a crock of *#%^ when I know what I have is good and it's going to be used for walking the dogs and stables and towing, if I'm towing any great distance I'll borrow my dads d4

Are bf all terrains much quieter that bf muds km1 or 2? Anything has to be better than my simex as there even louder than special tracks I had before.

I swapped BF muds to MT, MT's are quieter but i swapped due to more road use than off road
