Main fan belt

Me ole landy keeps snapping belts it's got a 200tdi in her I'm on my 4 belt in a matter of months (changed 2 in the pitch black) the only thing I've noticed is the power steering pulley is very hot but steering seems to be fine ,any ideas ?

Are they breaking clean or shredding?

Bearing on the Pas Pump pulley is fooked.

They shredding a bit but also look like they melted,can the bearing be changed ? Or is it get another pump ?

Easier to get another pump. else it's a complete stripdown of the Pump.

Def or Disco engine?
The def pas pump is a very poor design as the front support bearing is not lubricated by the pas oil its just a roller bearing and will fail if doing any deep water/mud off road crap, Ive had to maybe three go, normally bearing collapses but one snapped the shaft clean off!
Also the Def pas pump is the most expensive one of the lot

Discovery,is it much of a job to replace ?

No just messy with the pas oil, but disco one plenty and sensible price, bound to be some on ebay, for some reason the disco double pas pulley is worth good money
