Magnetic Signa on a Disco1

OK,

About to be provided with a pair of magnetic door signs IDing me as an "official vehicle" for an event. The signs are newly introduced this year. As the same callsigns are used every year but often asigned to different people the signs have to be magnetic so they will transfer between "all" the vehicles. There are 2 of us running Discos on the team and we are not going to convince them to get us special signs and I don't really want to go building steel plates into the curve of a Disco door for the sake of a couple of weekends a year.

Anyone got any nondestuctive thoughts for this? Would Silicone peel off the doors OK after we'd finished?

my suggestion is double sided tape

the left over glue will be easy to get off

Sound ssensible,

I've just picked up a sample of the signs and fortunately they hppen to be very good size match for the side windows in the boot and wont loose me to much vision so plan A - dab some tape in each corner and stick them inside the window. The picture I'd seen previously made me think they would have been a bit big for that plan but it should work well.

Any good alternative suggestions recieved but largely Propblem solved, thanks guys.

Remove door card and fix small magnets to door skin.
