Hi all,

ive just bagged myself a set of Magnecor Blue Electrosports80 HT leads for 70 squids and am well chuffed, i just wanted your opinion on the magnecor brand and also the magnecor blues on an LPG setup?

I have an RPI A&R power amp connected and have been told that these are the leads to use whilst running these amps, especially with LPG.

Ive also been told that V8s, especially ones running on LPG have to have thier electrics setup tip top and working just perfect unlike diesels.

until yesterday i had a set of 8 x red 8mm performance HT leads from paddocks and 1 x black britpart king HT lead from the ignition coil (the red king HT lead wasnt long enough!).

When i first put the new leads on and started her up the revs sat about 500rpm higher than usual but after a minute or 2 the ECU re adjusted itself, it now seems to run ever so slightly better/smoother but to be honest i havent really been out for a proper run and it could all be in my head!

Sooooo, i just wonderd what your opinions are on the Magnecor brand and especially interested in what people have to say about magnecor blues on an LPG set up, and especially in conjuntion with the RPI A&R power amp?

PS i know they are expensive but carry a "lifetime guarantee" so should eventually pay for themselves.........in about 5 years:D

Cheers.:)

Looking at getting some ourselves, local LPG spot highly reccomends them along with a power amp (of any decent kind), so they can't be that bad! The other thing that they reccomend is that when you come to change the plugs to put iridium ones in as these give slightly better ignition, dont know if its true but they swear by them, the spot has a very good reputation round here so i'll believe them on that!

Keep us updated on them if you could - MPG gain/loss/still the same, etc :)

I had Magnacore blues on my 4.6 p38 that had lpg, and they were brilliant. In fact when i traded the car in i removed them so they are now sitting in the shed (wondering if i can get them to fit my moggy traveller:D)
The electrics do have to be top notch for lpg but i never had any problems sticking to the standard plugs, personally i dont go for these expensive plugs. I did once in a volvo and when i took it to be tuned it was found that they were causing running problems, so the mechanic took them out and handed them back to me, they were only 2 days old but the car wouldnt tune properly with them in. Fitted standard ngk and it tuned up and run a lot better.
