April next year is the 10th anniversary of Accy and Roys baby turned monster forum that is what we know as landyzone today.
There has been a little behind the scenes chat about how to celebrate this momentous occasion and a basic idea has come into being which is.....
A camping site large enough to accomodate us with family friendly facilities and preferably Travel lodge/B&B type options nearby.
An off-road coarse on-site or close for the tratters and foolhardy.
Other activities to keep us all entertained, between us all we have the skills and knowledge to share pretty much everything from baking a cake on an open fire to recovery techniques, whaterever anyone wants to share and there is interest in.
Possibly green-laning outings, numbers and frequency depending on the area/sensitivity of lanes and the willingness of members with local knowledge to run groups.
There is the desire to be as inclusive as possible so a central location and all LR varients and members are welcome with options from a long weekend to day visits and ideas in addition to the above are invited........but.....
The biggest stumbling block we have encountered so far is finding a venue.
Several possibly suitable sites have been contacted including Billing, Kirton and Frickley but we are finding it difficult to get a response so does anyone have any contacts at a possible venue?
There are lots of details to sort out yet like pricing but it's fair to say costs will be kept to a minimum and a fair structure will be found but the venue is what needs to happen next so if we could start there it would be appreciated
