We have had the freelander 06 plate for 3 weeks now and I love it. Its my car since I drive it to and fro from work as hubby has a company van.

Anyway, yesterday (Saturday) we go out and hubby drives but on start up he said "that sounds lumpy". Not too sure what he meant but on questioning him he said that when he starts his van (diseal and a Caddy model of I think a VW) he says that it comes to life in no time.

Maybe its just that he used to his own vehicle -

Now that 3 weeks have passed here are my observations :

I obviously dont get the pull away like I did with my MR2 BUT I have noticed that people coming in the opposite direction give way to me unless they too are driving a 4 x 4. I guess its going to hurt their car more than mine?

I am getting about 300 miles to £30 worth of diesel which is probably about the same as my MR2 maybe a fraction less.

But I do like it and I do miss my MR2 but for practical reasons, it wins hands down.

Seem to have got the bug for these 4 x 4 - I saw a lovely cream Range Rover 09 plate in the garage the other day....

Could you tell me where you are buying your diesel, must be real cheap there :)

If it's a bit lumpy at tickover - likely to be an injector
try using double doses of Millers Diesel Sport every tank fill - it may clean it up enough

I live in Worthing and I think my husbby put the £30 in at Sainsburys.

What is Millers Diesel Sport - forgive my ignorance - is it a type of fuel?

It's a fuel additive - Halfrauds stock it - follow the instructions for tipping in tank from the bottle - but double the stated dose for a while.

and ... I think hubby is being generous ;)
