Hey guys, just done a search but not found an answer so im askin, am i right in thinking a 1991-90 has a lt77 'box? with reverse left n forward alongside 1st?.

Only askin cos my 'box, transfer box or clutch has f*$@ed isself and need to get it sorted.

Any info would be welcome

I have no idea at the mo, was on my way to work, pulled over for a jcb, who was determined not to wait !!! :censored: ( i like my car too much to argue with 5ton of ****ed off digger even tho i had the right of way haha)

Dropped it into 1st to pull away again, and got nothing but a bang and no drive.

Can "select" gears with out using the clutch but get nuthin but a loud metallic chatter especially in 4th n 5th. So till i get the 'box out i am clueless, any ideas-suggestions you have boydy would be gratefully recieved.
 
put it in diff lock. Does it drive then?

sounds to me like you've broken a half shaft.

Check the x-fer box aint jumped outta gear too :D

put it in 1st with the hand brake off, and look underneath. Is one of the prop shafts spinning? (with diff lock out!) if it is, then that axle has broken a half shaft.

yeah I would like to know to
 
In 1st, hand brake off, difflock on, and........................................nothing there was no drive or props turning, so it seems my half shafts are fine, the problem appears to be the transmission is F*&%ed!!!!

im hoping that the clutch drive plate has disintergrated but either way the 'box has to come out............ nice

have seen a post on here givin details on how to drop the 'box thru the floor but cant find it again so if any one has any ideas/ experience of doing it this way then dont be shy........shout up

Yeah it seems to move ok, theres cars parked front n rear so i cant say for sure.

there's 'boxes on flea bay but you dont know what they're like, a friend of a friend re-cons em for a living so im gonna get him to re-con it.

you sure its not the clutch plate broke up a mates disco had the same i got underneath while he put it in gear and let the clutch out it sounds bad from the bell housing (he was convinced it was nacked box) turned out to be the centre of the clutch had broken clear of the plate
