Hey guys,

ive got a constant leaking drip, check photo for location. Seems to be from where front prop goes into transfer box

anyone had experience in this and know the process to stop the leak?

It’s bad enough that I want to sort it out ASAP. What will be required to fix the issue and how big of a job will it be?

It’s not a difficult job, remove prop, remove flange and check flange for wear, replace if necessary,
Replace seal, refit flange and prop,

fit a new seal and check the seal surface on the flange they are prone to pitting
undo the nut remove the flange , prise seal out, fill inside of new seal with vaseline or grease and tap new seal in place

The video seems to show a different way then what’s mentioned above?

The video shows how to do the intermediate shaft o rings, not the output flange seals. Ignore the video if it’s only leaking from the flange.

Tbh just order a new flange anyway, they aren’t expensive and unless the old one is perfect it could end up leaking again quite quickly.

Brilliant,

does anyone have the exact name of the flange, seal and parts I need to order as looking online seems to be a wide variety of different ones

Cheers guys,

the leaks pretty bad, leaving puddles dripping constantly :( not sure what’s caused it, was fine few days ago and doesn’t get used
