Hi Guys & Gals
If you've seen my pics you'll know I am replacing the chassis on my 1985 90. The car already has a 300Tdi conversion mated to the original LT77 box, with the old chassis engine mounts moved to accommodate it. Has anyone, or does anyone know of a way where I can put the 300Tdi in the 300Tdi chassis without moving the mounts & adapt the LT77 to fit? I know it's possible to make an R380 box fit a 200Tdi by buying a shorter main shaft and using the LT77 bell housing. I guess what I want to know is, is the opposite possible? Can I replace the short LT77 main shaft with the longer R380 one, & use an R380 bell housing?
Advice would be much appreciated - oh, and a happy new year to you all.
