LT77 box needed

There will be those that have looked at the problems we're having with our gearbox on the "calling international rescue" thread and those that haven't, all I need to ask now is does anyone have a scrap 56H LT77 box they dont want that could possibly be donated to Ashcrofts on my behalf? Beer tokens could be arranged.

Don't know if its a 56H, but i got a scrap LT77 box out of a 1994 110.
You can have it, If some one can collect & deliver to ashcrofts.
I am 5mins from junction 25 of M1, ashcrofts are 10mins from J11, so if anyones passing...?

Turk you're a hero, although sorry to be a pain but if it's not the same type of box there's no refund of surcharge. The way to know is from the serial No, just below the filler plug you will find the No. it's the first 2 numbers and the last letter that count, mine is 56A0152632H making it a 56H box, could i pester you to take a look?

56H a Defender one? I have a LT77, but with no serial number present (think it was a recon one)...only prob is, it was out of a 92 RRC. I'm just up the road from Turk wi the looks of things if interested...

i think you will find that the serial number is quite unique to 1991/2 defender models but always worth a look. jai

it's kinda heart warming to know that NoBs 200 engine is currently suffering with a xxxxxxd xxxxx, a blocked xxxxxxxer along with worn xxxxxxxxs and that he's still no where nearer to getting it sorted

I also have a lt77 box and transfer I am abouts to take to scrappy it came out of a 1992 defender 200tdi just looked at it and it had no serial no on it that I could see?? I am only in hitchin so not far from ashcrofts at all.

What do you want for it? I mean if its good for a swap out for Ashcroft Its best to sort out Lee but if the serial is not the same then I'd be interested to have it as a spare to throw in next time I need a rebuilt one. Also whats wrong with it main shaft?

no serial number just "RC LT77 H"
You could see if ashcrofts would do a 2 for 1 for you to be kind?
- if 2 similar boxes will count instead of 1 exact for surcharge return.

I'll be honest Turk, I offeres Ashcroft 5 Lt77's for nowt even deliver for free they said to me to throw them away so I did in the end as they were in my way.

As far as I am aware we took it out my mates defender as I had a spare kicking about it had trouble going in reverse. It wasn't until we got it out and started to fit other that I realised that it was that pin was seized so box and tranny are fine only want £20 for both as I now have a v8 so no gud to me.

Sible, if it's the right one consider it sold, how much to drop it round to Ashcrofts? I will need to wait for mine to arrive to give you the invoice number so don't deliver yet.

Maybe Jai could have the transfer box and me the gearbox, I will happily pay for both.

Well as above consider it sold, When can we collect it? If its the correct serial number then Lee can use it for a swap out. If Ashcrofts won't accept it then I'll but it off you for spares.

In any case, we need to get it here so I can get it Ryder so he can drop it off at ashcroft Monday Morn depending on serial number. When would be good to collect?

It would need two or three of us as its still got the tranny box attached. Might have to split the boxes to get them here Me thinks.

im spare.got no wheels but could help lift.my head is being skimmed so no go till next week,might have srarship at weekend and busy saturday morning.

Sat afternoon or any time Sunday is gud for me I can almost lift it my self so me and one other will be ok? Like I said only want £20 for both
