LSE radio

My OEM Clarion radio seems to have gone up the swannee. Suddenly it keeps asking for the code and when entered I just get a pop from the rear sub and the it goes off again.

Clearly power to the HU and occasionally I get a TUN ER98 error code on the radio. It will play the CD but very quietly. I'm guessing there is an issue with the rear sub and amplifier but that doesn't seem to suggest why the radio doesn't work.

I don't know the answer but I would suggest it might be worth tracing the wiring from the head unit back to the sub. In my project LSE I found a damaged cable under the carpet so maybe you have a short between head unit and sub?

Try disconnecting the autochanger as that error can come from it.
