LR soft top security?

Have you found any hacks or modifications to make a soft top more secure? Any good steering wheel lock recommendation? Immobilizer? Alarm?

I was thinking earlier that a metal box bolted or welded to the tub would provide you with a good place to keep shopping bags and tools.

Another idea was to have a roof box fitted with a secure bike lock for keeping odds and ends.

Pedal lock, disklok, kill switch etc and don’t keep anything valuable in it!

as a tactical snake repository? Even better if it was spring loaded and you had to wind it like a jack in a box

Don't leave anything on show.
Lock box in the back without a shiny lock.
Tilt switch silent alarm sends text to phone.
Don't lock your doors.

Not had problems with soft top Landrover with/without the roof on.

Not locking the doors is a good shout, means your tilt won’t get slashed.

I have carried all sorts in mine and not have a problem - however I am cautious about where I leave it or park it if it has valuables in it.

Biggest irritation I have is I have a truck cab canvas and people throw rubbish in the back

Yeah I know. It’s annoying but I suppose it’s better than chucked on the floor which irritates me more!

Well yes but it's the ignorance that someones making their rubbish your problem and having the lack of respect for your stuff... I'm always concerned that some drunk on the way home from the pub would climb on and stand on my wings.

We get people letting their dogs **** on our drive, happens at least once a month.

Society wide problem imo, the lack of respect for other people’s thing etc.

People seem to see rubbish as not their problem even when they have generated it. I litter pick my lane (live semi rural) and the stuff I find usually fills 2 or 3 black sacks

That's maddening. Granted a walk down the billy trail here on Hayling would probably generate a similar amount.

Put a hard top on ?

Not an approved theft or intrusion device.
Old Westfield with no roof etc always parked up as daily drive had people sit in it. Annoyed me that kids/ adults would do this.
Put a note on it do not sit in it please
Leave it on for 2 weeks
Purchased new bright seat cover,
Square piece of wood some small nails.( build use/ these items how your angry brain would tell you)

Just remember to remove the item before getting in. You cannot stop falling mid flow into a low car.
Oh I did not park there again, I know what would happen from that baboon looking idiot trying to get revenge.
