thinking about doing this,had a search around the net and through the forum and found some good threads,i now need to find out how much it costs,the best system,who to use and last but not least is it worth doing,

your thoughts and suggestions fellow rr owners

deffo worth doing if you diy! but its not a cheap thing to do. then again you can swap it to other cars if you put connectors on instead of hacking into the wiring! any wiring joints you make use good connectors and you can easily remove em and fit em to new car.

keep all gas pipe runs neat and properly fixed, away from heat sources like the exhaust. dont clip wires and gas pipe together!

put the filler on the bumper and you can change that too if its the same colour!

for the water pipework in the engine bay dont use the ****ty platic t's, use strong ones to avoid leaks. i used some pipes from a transit cooling system and it has a bleed valve on it too!

the injectors and solonoids need to be equidistant from eachother on both sides and closer than 300mm

look up blaze gas, they(he) does kits specific for landrovers and is a regular on the lpg forum!

would the insurance company want proof of fitting certificate,from searching the forum it seems to be a issue

It seems to be cheaper to buy a vehicle with it already fitted. When I was looking for RRs, the lpg'd ones were all going for the same price as the non lpg'd ones which seems a bit odd considering how expensive they are to fit.

Having said that, my system was in a real crap state and had to have new injector blocks (or whatever they call them) and a damned big overhaul. Still cheaper than getting it fitted though and it runs very well now.

If you're going to have it fitted, try and get recommendations for a fitter in your area. The place I use was recommended to me and I can see why. He knows his LPG and he knows his Range Rovers. Ideal combination!

I certainly couldn't afford to run my P38 without lpg.

My Insurance company wanted to know about it, but no extra charge and didn't want to see the certificate.

got a quote from blaze 2100 + vat fitted,looks like im gonna sell/swap and get a deisel or one already fitted with lpg.

You might be able to find a second hand system, but you might have trouble finding someone prepared to fit it...

Just a thought.
