:welcome2:

:welcome2: hi , i too have a 4.6 v8 vogue with a thor engine late 2000 model ,as far as i know the thor engine is much more refined than earlier models my lpg returns are about 18mpg max , without looking for an argument i cant see how your getting 22mpg on lpg or petrol , i have recently had both fully serviced with new filters and trims set on lpg side and all petrol side done with new coils and leads as well . i do regular trips from m/cr to lincolnshire and mileage is same all time total return journey is 260 miles so regulary do the mpg calculations and only varies slightly depending on speeds , so would be interested as to how you achieve 22 mpg on both petrol and lpg ???? my lpg is 2 yrs old and a multipoint the motor has done 83000 from new and is immaculate and drives like a dream . so to the chap looking to buy one try and get one already fitted with a multipoint and even better still late model with a thor n keep it regularly serviced and you wont go far wrong ,,,hope this helps cheers mozz:D:D:D:D

No argument from me - I don't know why/how I manage to get 22mpg, but I do. "Normal" driving (not afraid to press the right hand pedal when I need to), regular servicing for the RR and the LPG setup. The Rangie's now done 111K miles. The 22mpg on petrol was on the run back from the south coats when I bought the RR - had it converted about a week later and have continued to get between 20 and 22mpg ever since! The only time it's dropped was when I towed the caravan to France and back when i got 19mpg.

19mpg TOWING a caravan..........have you actually worked it out "properly" i.e. Full tank, do xxx miles then see how much needed to refill, or is just wot the pooter says?

Yes - I do know how to work it out! I've always monitored my fuel useage since buying my first car back in 1984! Number of miles travelled from full ( I always fill to the top and re-set the trip) and number of litres taken to re-fill!

Most of the towing was on the motorway (West Wales to Dover) then Calais to the south at a steady 60 with the cruise control on.

It's not just me - have a look at some of the posts in this thread....
