follow this link to the only one in the world that i can find , and it finished yesterday !Atuator LPG Autogas Lovato, Landi, BRC,KME und andere on eBay (end time 15-Dec-09 17:44:41 GMT)

wow that was unexpected, cheers! Do you have the same system? I just pulled the motor off (as it was creating an air leak into the system) and replaced it with a piece of hose that was lying around.

Hi listerdiesel, ive tried looking online everywhere for lovato bits and bobs and for the best part thier webpage was "closed due to maintenance" but even when i eventually started to get somewhere the whole thing was in italian, i couldnt translate the page and tried sending them emails but to no avail.

Any help would be greatly apperciated. Cheers.

There is a 'English' button on the top right hand side.

I could only find a list of Italian service agents, so suggest that you contact one of your local LPG converters and see if they would know of an agent. Someone obviously gets the stuff into this country.

Also try the Polish guy on ebay, he may known.

I emailed lovato in italy for an english manual , and they forwarded it to a u.k. company (autogas 2000 ltd. 01845 523213 ) a chap by the name of Chris. I have now sent him an email with my problem explained , hoping he can help ! He has sent a later version of configuration instructions , namely the loveco-4eu . The software illustrated on it is of a later type .The type i have installed is (installed 2000) lov"eco", I got the software and english instructions from here ELPEGE | LPG | software lovato . Select lov-eco zip , then unzip it to a folder . Then all you need is an interface lead from somewhere (i aint got one yet!)to connect to a pc. What i did learn from it is that if the three leds on the control unit flash together fast for about 10 seconds and then just the red one comes on for 6 seconds , then the unit has been previously configured by a pc . The unit can be configured manually without a pc by following the instructions. p.s. when you remove the stepper , you need to replace it temporarily with a manually adjustable power valve (as fitted to v8 carb. lpg installations) .this can then be micro-adjusted to get your engine running efficiently than by just putting a piece of hose in!Apparently you get the revs up to about 2500 rpm and then tweak the adjuster screw in or out to get the best sounding setting. Its basically a housing with a big brass adjusting screw with a spring under the head to stop it from moving .Hope all this helps.

Cheers buddy, and nice 1 listerdiesel ive had another look at that site but even with that button pressed a lot of it is still in italian, mad! My friend whos an LPG fitter mentioned to me about a manually adjustable power valve and actually mentioned using something as simple as an old brass tap! (he can botch anything with a cork, some gaffertape, a plantpot and a lump hammer!) but i like to keep things looking tidy in case i go to sell it and someone looks under the bonnet and finds a dirty old house tap lol. Also does the gap never adjust? i just wondered what the 4 wires are that i had to disconnect to remove the bit were for? theyre just hanging at the moment. I will prob buy the bit from the polish guy on ebay but would still like to know why that part failed in the 1st place, (looks like the bit that went was designed to go to stop something worse happening):frown:

The purpose of the stepper motor is to adjust air /gas mix , to suit the load conditions of the engine , taking info. from the lambda sensor in the exhaust down pipe , and the throttle position sensor. This should give the best economy and power .The manual power valve does away with all this( the gap stays constant) and gives a basic adjustment that has to be set manually, thereby giving up the economy etc. This was how it used to be on carb. engined v8's before efi was introduced !Your four wires are ok lying there as the electronic control unit will be sending signals down the wires thinking it is adjusting the stepper !(if they are bare wires then tape them up ). The downloaded zip file when opened is italian on one side of the page and fully understandable english on the other. I selected all the english text and saved it onto notepad .I then printed it off to read at leisure. The schematic is labeled in about four languages . If you see something marked as tps , that is throttle position sensor , which should be by the throttle linkage area or poss on the side of the plenium chamber.
