LPG playing up - anyone help ?

Need a wise person to help with my LPG V8 as it doesn't work any more.
Are there any common faults with the system ?
There is gas in the tank and there is a definate click from that area when switching over but no gas at the carbs.
It worked fine one day but refused to work the next.
Any help at all please

I know you say it has gas, but I had a similar problem where my defender was running great, an then jus stopped working on gas. After an expensive day in the garage, it transpired that both gauges where faulty, and it had run out of gas which is a common fault.

have you checked the inline fuse to the gas switch, and check to see if you have 12volts at the inline filter(it is voltage switched) also make sure you have 12 volts at the vapiouse (if thats how its spelt) main problems with gas systems is the earth.
now the thing is you need it running to check it but to bypass that you need to run a 12v feed to the above items.

check the wiring to lamber sensors had similer prob when wiring touched exhaust after refitting downpipes hope this helps arv

Daz800 ,Thanks for that will have a look tomorrow, sounds like a fuse to just stop working suddenly.

Johnacky, I put some gas in just in case but not that I'm afraid.

Most likely one of the solenoid valves - one on the tank outlet, one in the engine bay just before the vaporiser unit. Locate them, then disconnect the wires and test them with a 12 volt supply direct. If they click ok, check you have 12 volts coming down your supply wires! Guessing you have the old single point supply system so not much else to go wrong. Remote chance that the vaporiser diaphragm is stuffed or maybe a blocked filter in the line. Good luck
