Hi, After years of wanting and despite alot of negative advice, ive just purchased a 2001 4.6 Vogue and absolutly LOVE IT ! It was LPG converted 4 years ago, although no cert or paperwork exists. Ive established its a Landi Renzo? multipoint with Matrix? injectors. The Bosch engine runs perfect on petrol, however the LPG stutters and misfires at around 1500 revs or until you put your foot down. Someone suggested new plugs and leads? can i ask 3 questions please?

  • Is this LPG conversion any good?
  • How can i get a cert?
  • Any suggestions to get rid of misfire?
Thanks

i'm not sure about the quality of the system but if it was installed proffesionally, and you can tell by the way its installed, then i suspect the setup has gone wonky somewhere. you will be able to download the software and aquire an interface lead to set it up yourself. you will need to research this tho!

to get a cert you can go to a lpga approved installer and have it checked over and cert'd, prolly best to ask him to set it up and service it, it wont be cheap but then a 2001 4.6 vogue wasnt either so your prolly best ivesting in it!

with lpg if the ignition system is not 100% then the lpg wont ignite and can backfire. there are other reasons so get a service done on the petrol side, then the lpg setup and serviced and then you can get the cert in order and you will have cheap luxury motoring!!!

a good look through lpg forums wont do you any harm either!
