One advantage of the newer gear is that it connects directly to the ODB socket so tunes itself as you drive along. Even easier set up!

Have a look at Tinley Tech too. If you buy a kit from them they will inspect it for you and offer advice on the install. They're not as cheap as other places, but I can recommend the gear and service.

I'm about to buy a kit for my 6.8 litre V10 RV I'm shipping back from the USA. At 10mpg LPG is a must!

Cheers mate, all good to know. Think I looked at tinleys site before.
I'm going to find out if there's a local place too and see what they say. If they're not keen to help me self install then they won't get my business.
 
Herewith is the CoP11 for LPG installations...... I will also post a new thread with the same info attached.

If I remember rightly it was about £30 for the CoP from UKLPG.......if you make use of this document as attached, May I urge you to put a few shillings in a charity bucket of your choice just to pay it forward....ta.

Hi, sorry to jump in here but I have just taken on a 4.6 with LPG fitted. Just asking, as I never having dealt with it before, is there much to do regarding maintenance and servicing. Vehicle has been stood for six years so would like to give it a look over. All certs and paperwork in place and logged on the V5.
Apologies again if I have hijacked here..
 
6 years is quite a while.

Normally you just change the LPG vapour filters every year, if it's been sitting a long time the injectors and vaporiser might need the rubber bits replacing.....

That's pretty easy to do, you just need the right parts.
