lpg fault

hi there just wondering if anyone has any knowledge about lpg systems mine is a zavoli system and has a gauge with 5 lights on the dash .
it has worked well since ive had the car but now sometimes when i go out after a while the gauge starts flashing and beeping so i turn it of and when turned back on everything is fine for a while then it does it again but last weekend i was away and done 200 miles without any problems at all then today it started doing it again thanks for any help.

it sounds like you either have a loose connection on the lpg sender on your tank or the sender is due for packing up altogether.This sounds like the same problem i had on a transit although it did have a different make of conversion but the five light guage sounds similar.I ended up having to use my trip meter so i knew when to refil.

hello there i dont really know if the gas is cutting out because as soon as its starts beeping i switch it to petrol but it doesnt switch automaticly i just hope its something minor thanks.

apparently, there is a tank that has to be filled with a special fluid that stops the valves from burning ? i didnt know about this untill a mate whos a car dealer told me.

If its switching back to petrol then it will probably be the vacume switch or the vapouriser

The tank you fill with oil is valve lubrication to stop the valves wearing as lpg is dry. This is only really an issue on heads that have soft valve seats, not sure what the v8's have though
