I'd go for putting bigger alloys with a low profile tyre and sidesteps if you haven't already got them. I have a 52 td4 with 17" vortex alloys and sidesteps and tbh it looks quite meaty!!
We also got head & tail lamp guards on it to give it a better look, why dont you go down this road of modification??
I've had a look for sports spring kits for you on a couple of sites that my wife has used for her car, here's what i have found, hope this helps

Thanks for the help guys, i like the look of JE Engineering, imm gonna give them a call.

Also iam gonna fit side runners and headlight guards as fitted on the sports models. Ive also started collecting the parts to facelift th freelander.

I bought this car as a sensible(ish) car i was just going to use but it just has so much potential.

JE a bit expensive for a similar Koni kit from motorsport world is £400 saving £50 or you can buy them seperate for £91 (for delco struts only) front and £91 for the rear (for delco struts only)
