have to ask why?, ground clearance for starters would be compromised, and not sure the lines of a Freelander lends itself to 'slammin':)

Dunno "why?" really. Ground clearance isnt an issue for me really, i dont take it off road if i wanna go off road il take bike it would be much quicker and much more fun.

As for the looks i just saw a RR Sport the other day that looked low and well the nuts, it was the supercharged one do they come like that standard? I dont wanna slam it but think it would look nice sitting lower!

Well options are limited, but some nice alloys and low profiles would give the impression of sitting lower and fill the wheel arch without having to modify the wheel arches.................agree the turbo-charged RR is the dogs b######ks.

Really though whats wrong with wanting to improve how your vehicle looks, i like my freelander but still dosent mean i couldnt improve it, most people on this site have customized their vehicles in one way or another fair enough most of the have done it so they can drive up bigger hills and through deeper puddles but that aint my thing.

Also who's a chav, u surely wouldnt label someone a chav just cus they asked about lowering springs, if so id label u an idiot?

cool, im an idiot.....yur a chav.....and you need realy dark glasses to improve your gaylanders looks

Nothing wrong with modifying, trying to find link for wheel site where you can superimpose wheel types onto model to see how it looks before you buy. Couple of minutes.

Was just gonna say FL sport is 40mm lower so just swopping the springs and shocks will drop it by that much....you want it to look lower than that, as said allys with low profiles and could fill the gap by adding some sidesteps...lower again you could always chop the original springs and probably get another inch or 2 but personally wouldnt bother but could look ok

I have 100 2ft sq paving slabs to collect from preston, you could do it.... then you could see what it looks like....FOR FREE:p
back seats down 10 in there , a couple on the front seats . cheaper and doing someone in the comunity a good deed:D

Didnt know they did a sport, ive just had a look at them and they look spot on. The sport setup would be fine, 40mm about all i would want, just gotta source some now.

Next question is will the sport suspension bolt straight on, are the chassis' between the standard TD4 and the sport the same?

Fairly certain it is a straight swap..only problem would think is possibly need camber correction bolts (think its bearmach that do them) but would fit and run suspension and only bother if they were needed)..bottom bolts can be very tight and will need a bit of persuasion if theyve never been removed before.

or be original and chop the td4 for a sport, gotta be easier than arsing about swapping the suspension and any associated problems that will arise. freelanders dont run right at the best o times without starting modifiying the bleeding things:rolleyes:
