As long as you sort it in the end, it doesn't matter how you got there!
Still going to clean out the inlet manifold and change the sedimenter ( have a spare ) but still really shocked by the difference. Thing is my disco has still been a nice drive and this is effectively with the turbo doing chuff all. Will this have affected the fuel i will have been using? ....also noticed a complete bitch of an oil leak as well so can't exactly sit back and relax.
Get rid ov the sedimenter , they are ****, Defender tdi's dont av em. Don't agree at all - when you see what they trap, which would have otherwise gone forward and caused trouble, it shows their value. All they need is regular attention.
