I went to my prefered breakers in Shropshire a few days back, they have virtually nothing left but amoungst the few cars they do have there there were 3 ex military series landrover (at least 1 of them was a 2 or 2a) vehicles with engines and gearboxes and lots of high output electrical bits. Also half a dozen series landrovers, mostly stripped for parts but still lots there, all axles there just hubs removed from some. They also had a complete series 1 with truck cab and hoodsticks / roll cage combo for rear, had suffered a cab fire so roof scrap but still all there mechanically. Lots of defenders and round the back in a hedge there was a complete series 3 diesel. A few other classics had escaped the weigh it in craze and anyone wanting parts for humber, reliant scimitar (v8) or triumph herald bits might get a good deal there (also lots of caravans. Used to be a really good scrappers with a good selection but new management has resulted in most of it getting weighed in. Staff are a good lot and will do a good deal on bits (especially if you buy a few) plus you can turn up with tools and remove stuff yourself or ask them to. Thought I'd give the heads up here as if stuff stays there it will get smelted since the yard seems in a procarious position. They are saving the best stuff til last it seems.
