Yesterday I lost my main beam and flasher. Took the indicator assembly apart and cleaned the contacts which gave me back my flashing capability but still no full beam.
Suspect switch knackered. Is it possible to replace the indicator assembly and.. more important .. are they still available over the counter or do I have to find a donor

I had the same problem over the summer the indicators and main beam seemed to work only when they wanted.

I took the stalk off cleaned all the conections with a fine file.

Checked and cleaned all the earth points checked the connectors and cleaned them including the ones between the radiator and wings. I also did the connections in the light hub.

All worked fine afterwards.

You can buy a new stalk but you will still need to check all the connections.
All the best Tony

New one's about £18 for a III from MM (my local supplier) I got tired of cleaning and re-bending contacts so replaced mine a couple of years ago and had no problems since. Not too hard a job but it's easier if you leave the old one dangling and swap the wires over one at a time

They made things a lot better when they started to put relays in for the lights, last must longer and can be replaced in a jiffy for 4 quid.

Thanks for the help everyone. Will try the diamond spatula first then the connections. Not had time to eliminate other as away a lot. I suspect it may be connections possibly due to water a couple of weeks ago.
