I purchased a landrover disco 2 td5 with 230k kms on the clock and for the first 750 kms it ran like a dream. I was driving up a hill at about 100 k/hr when i lost power and began to slow instantly. No noise, no warning, with foot flat to the floor i barely made it up the hill. I turned around and headed home with very little power and rough running. Luckily i made it back. I tried starting it but idle was terrible and the engine stalled and now wont start at all with white smoke coming from the exhaust on cranking. This is the first landrover ive owned so i did some research. I replaced the injector loom, replaced fuel filter, checked pressure at fuel regulator (i removed the temp sensor) and had 3.9 bar. I replaced the crank sensor and fuel air bleed valve. Ive had no change at all. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated i cant seem to find any threads that describe my initial fault and im struggling, cheers
