It's a 2003 Defender 90 td5 and under the middle front seat there is what looks like a "scart" plug like you use to connect a DVD player to a TV.It's right at the front bottom of the seat(it's not connected to the seat in any way but it's connected to a bracket on the floor and the wiring goes straight to the fuse box under the drivers seat).I'll be putting a cubby box in place of the seat but what do i do with the "scart" plug?Ive taken some pictures of it but i cant get my phone to upload them to my computer.I'll keep trying to upload some photos of it.

Thanks guys. I'll leave that well alone then.
Its a bit dirty so i think i'll give it a clean with contact cleaner then wrap some gaffa tape round the end of it to stop the muck getting into it.

Well my 300tdi also has one of these but I think it is associated with the egr ecu (which is also hiding under the middle seat. What is the best thing to do with these if I want to fit a cubby box? Can I just move them so they hide under the passenger seat or just hide them under the cubby box? Suggestion gratefully received

:D Ok all thanks for the advice. having searched around was already thinking of blanking the egr. Will remove the ecu and leave the connector hidden somewhere :) There is one other thing under the seat which looks like small round tube with a rubber top and a couple of wires attached. Is this also part of the EGR ecu stuff ?? If necessary can upload a picture of the thing tomorrow.
