have been looking for awhile and I found this Defender its mid 90's. 200TDI engine showing about 80K on the odometer. lead down test on the cylinders is cylinder 1 385. cylinder 2 is 380 #3 is 385 and #4 is 375. appears to be in good shape. there is some rust on the springs and brakes. looking for any feedback on the condition.. I attached some photos

very very rusted springs but chassis looks okay?? rings alarm bells to me, could be that the chassis is more rusted than it appears and have just been given a quick steam clean and a quick blow over with black wax - not that neat a job either.
That kind of rust on springs and axles might indicate its been used to launch boats maybe. thats some rust for a low mileage vehicle.
Needs a very very close inspection in person to see past the tarted up aspects tbh
 
Look at the exhaust pipe, see the remnants of fresh chassis wax thats been blown onto the chassis still clinging on?
Does not make it a bad car, but as others have said beware it might just have been blown over prior to sale.

Suspiciously no oil leaks either!
 
Looks pretty good in the photos but the rust on the rear in comparison to the front axle does suggest it may have been dipping in water. There is also a diff guard on the rear which suggests someone was concerned they might back into something like a trailer hitch. Being in the water doesn't necessarily mean there is serious rust anywhere but I think you would want to have a look. Hope it works out.
 
this one is around 50K. before covid it was over 110K American we cant get a defender that is newer than 25 years old here because of some laws about safety components. . and LHD are hard to find.. you can get a nice RHD fro around 35K. heck. a brand new jeep is around 60K American.. the defender will gain in value here.. the jeep wont..

yes they do if you got the right model and year. They also will bring eye watering money.
 
most all trucks over here have the white walls facing in.. not sure how that trend started.. not sure why people drive on the wrong side of the road either. laughing...
