Looking to buy a discovery or defender...any advice appreciated.

To be honest, I cant see that any disco for that sort of money is going to be any good. It'll cost you an arm and leg to keep it on the road, you would be better waiting until you could extend your budget. As for a defender for £1,500? I dont think so. Wait until the summer when prices tend to drop, but above all raise your budget

Well I didn't mean a bitsare****ty! And I didn't realise that land cruisers were so expensive! But still, any land rover you buy for £1500 is going to be a complete rot box

both of them will be better to sit in than a defnder.Probbably break less too.

Personally, I think that mitare****ties around that price are at the end of their usable life, and will be falling to bits, whereas a land rover or toyota will keep going forever (sometimes quite unfortunately)
