My landy is really coming along nicely. I just wanted to know, if anyone has tried it before, how do yellow calipers look through alloys? I painted mine up yesterday, took me a good while but it looks really nice, the finish is excellent. Let me know what you guys think :)

I think you must have too much time on your hands. I'd have to be absolutely desperate for something to do before I started painting brake calipers. Whatever makes you happy though...

I like them. What alloys do you have? I imagine they would look good through black alloys. I painted the ones on mine red as they looked tatty.

Planning on an underbody light kit too? :)

More seriously, I did the radius arms on my daughter's RRC in yellow - she liked it. Had she kept the car (traded up to a D1 then a D2) I likely would have been persuaded to do the same for the braking components on it.

I'm more of a red man myself (!) - but all that matters is.... Do YOU like it??!!??!

if so, then carry on - lets face it, ANY paint is better than rust:D

There's a member on here called Ebbadger who's done some seriously yellow rebuilding of his Defender. Loads of suspension and braking components have been painted yellow and everything seems to be fastened together with Allen screws. It's not all on one thread so you'll have to search. Personally I like the odd flash of red underneath but clearly yellow appeals to a lot of people.

Well, i have been restoring this landy for the past 5 months, so yes, i do have a lot of time :) yea im going to get some disco alloys soon so they will look nice through the gap.

I painted my new ones silver before i fitted them just to keep the rust at bay and being new took the paint realy well.. 2 years down the line and still looking new.. easier to clean and no rust...
