Hi I need some help here, I've bought a rear door lock from ebay and discovered when it arrived it differs from the one I took out, as it has no hole in the lock barrel receiver to hold the barrel.
The lock barrel receiver appears longer and goes further into the lock mechanism itself.
I took it to my local dealership who were particularly useless, but thought it could be an older model.
As my defender is a 2001 and I knew there were changes after that I was even more unsure, hence my question.
Does anyone know what this lock is and where I can get a replacement lock barrel and key?
Dave:confused:

I know the TD5 lock barrel is longer then the standard one, but they are apparently on back-order and rare as hen's teef. Or so I was told when I was supplied with the wrong ones for mine.

Hi thanks for that, Stratstone on the Dunkeld road were mystified, so much for Land Rover parts department!!!!!!!!
Perthshire Rocks

I've never tried Stratford, I pop down to Strathearn Engineering in Aberuthven if I want something over the counter - Dave is the man to talk to, but all the guys are very helpful.
