Hi.
I´m new to the Land Rover world and looking for longer travel struts for the front, as well as camber plates for a buggy. I have searched the web but could not find anything. I looked into the Terrafirma catalog and they do not have anything for the Freelander.
Does anybody know if there is anything in the market?

If not, I thought maybe using the rear struts in the front, as they are longer travel (180mm to 220mm I believe). Will the mounting holes match?

BWT, just in case anybody is wandering, the buggy was a tube frame and will have to biuld the towers for the struts, so I have got some freedom in that respect.

Any ideas welcome!
Cheers,
Rob

The mountings on the rear are totally different to the front, same pattern, but bigger overall size, although if you're making a custom job of it, it may be possible, but you'd need even longer ones for the rear for it to sit level...

Hi SES88. Thanks for the fast answer!

When you´re referring to the mountings, do you mean the strut tower or the upright/hub carrier?
I am only interested in whether rear struct could be bolted to the front upright. I will have to fabricate the brackets for the top part of the strut anyway.
I have measured the distance between holes in the front strut and it is around 70mm. Can anybody tell me if it is the same at the rear struts?

Cheers,
Rob.

I forgot to mention that I am planning on using the same mcpherson configuration front and rear. Same uprights, same struts, same brakes, all the same. Might not be the best solution but I believe it´ll be the simplest ;)
