Hello guys,
been a while since I've posted as my disco 2 has been behaving itself for a while.
Just the other day my wife complained that she could not get the car to lock,
I tried it with my remote and found that it works fine sat in the car any further away was causing problems.
I checked main battery voltage OK, replaced both fob batteries, slightly better, will lock /unlock if fob held against drivers side passenger window.
I'm guessing the sensor may be at fault, if so has anyone got a step by step
method of replacing it?
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Had some luck with the problem,
the sensor can be accessed by removing sunroof trim (if yours has one), remove winder handle and trim retaining screw behind handle.
the roof lining can be pulled down a little to see the sensor, I used a small ratchet with 8mm skt. I taped a hacksaw blade to the ratchet so as not to bend the roof lining down too much, removed both screws, cleaned the earth, refitted only slightly better, ordered a new sensor YWY000080A from ukmgparts.com for £34.00 inc delivery, arrived next day, fitted and everything good.
Hope this helps anyone with similar problem. :)
