On our 04 D2 the locking system is near enough completely inoperable. Off the key (in the barrel) the drivers door and boot will unlock (however the boot is temperamental) I’ve read a few threads that the lock actuators are common to die which I think we can manage to replace. You can lock them the old fashioned way by pushing the little plastic tab down then shutting the door but if the motor was seized wouldn’t these just pop back up?
The lock/unlock button inside also only unlocks the boot, does nothing for the drivers door even though it works ok off the key?
