Locked out, super locked??? Help please

Hi, Ive read a few threads on forums regarding lock out and Im in the same boat and very new to range rovers and anything mechanical tbf. A friend and I have painstaking found that we cant access the car using wedges in the doors and lifting the buttons or pulling the levers. The lock seems to be doing nothing using the key and the open button is no longer sending a signal at all and theres no clunk sound when using either button now. I dont want to have to smash a window to climb in (will the doors open with key in ignition if I do?) and wondered if I could gain acces through the rear door via removal of the number plate lights? I only got the car yesterday. Two days Ive been trying to gain access and its now getting on my wick. (Do you think the RAC would open it up if I called them out? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If it's superlocked, you are in deep ****, you will not be able to open the doors from the inside.
Does the FOB not work? Is the car battery OK or flat?

It would help if you introduced yourself with full details of the car.

Have a look in the HOW TO section and a post by mos smith and that might give you some ideas

Hi, Im Jase, sorry for no intro but I did leave one in the introduce yourself part. The key or the fob doesnt work. If I bet in through breaking the glass and climbing in will i be able to unlock the doors with the key in the ignition?

Is it yours?

It's your car we need to know about, year, petrol or diesel, there are many differences.
You are unlikely to get the doors to unlock with the key in the ignition.
Do the basics. Does the LED light on the FOB when you press the unlock button. Do you have the EKA code and have you tried it.
Is the car battery flat?

So, go do the checks I gave you and let us know if you have the EKA code.

The fob was lighting but now isnt on the open and is intermittent on the close button. I dont have the ECA and the books and paperwork are locked in the car. The only thing I have is the green slip and this key thats not working

The RAC are here now to try their luck. Be back soon, the guys gonna need a brew or two

You need to try to sort the FOB, remover the back cover and check the small contact at the side.
The RAC are unlikely to get you in if it really is superlocked.

The car should open with the key if the car was previously super locked the key will require two quick turns of the key blade
Also check car battery isnt flat.

I think theres a problem with the locking mechanism in the door as well as the fob. The guy I brought it off said he always left i open as it didnt lock so after getting home with it I pressed the button and it did so I thought great until I tried to open it again. Looks like the RAC guy hasnt done one before either.��

Would opening bonnet and hitting the secret button mentioned in lro magazine open the doors.

Im in, the clever RAC guy threaded the key through the window into the ignition and sent the window down. Now ive got keycode lockout on the dash and it wont start. Dont have the eca code either so it looks like securing the car till tomorrow and calling out a lock guy to reprogram and maybe a new key. Im hoping it will unlock from there?

Get the EKA code from dealer, need V5 and ID

Im new to these cars Stutherange so dont know about any button under the bonnet, are you pulling my leg cause ive not seen it mentioned on here?

Just another quick question, when i get the code, i presume its turning the key in the door? If the lock actuator is broke will it turn off the immobiliser and still keep me locked out of the car? How do I get the door open if thats the case? Here was me thinking I had a bargain! Lol

You've got the idea. The EKA code is turning the key the correct number of turns in one direction then the correct number of turns in the other times four. If the mechanical lock mechanism is not operating the microswitch in the main lock then nothing is going to happen. You might still have to cut your way through the lock to get into the door to operate the switch.
