New key and lock clips to be collected today, hopefully that problem will be solved. Next abs accumulator and heater(blend motors possibly)? Having a new hub put on and oil and filters done aswell, and the boots gotta be cleaned! Yuk! Is it ok to use a vax in the boot?

Thanks tomcat, luckily for me the footwell didnt get too wet. Well Im back from landrover with the key and have got it working(ish). It locks, starts the car but doesnt open off the button? Still scared to lock it incase the bar pops off the back of the lock again? If anyone knows why could you let me know please. My mates have tried to get the hub off to change but thats stuck fast (broke one bar &bent another) so its back together and im trying somewhere else tomorrow. The display is back on the heater console though somat least it aint all doom and gloom! Thanks in advance for any info

Yeah I've gotta take it up tomorrow Mark, got West Midlands Landrover on the case for the handle, gonna need an actuator as well I think. Close call with the fuel pal! Just had me a ride round, they boogie when ya wellie them dont they pal! I think it maybe the centre and drivers side blend motors that need replacing. Passenger side adjusts temp ok others stay hot. And I know what you mean about the difference in the ride with springs, much harsher. Air bags gonna be a while away yet though! Stereo sounds quite good too!

Keith
will the nanocom sort it out??
Ive purchased sas's and it is installed with the motronic codes and now the edc codes too!
Trouble is I need to know what to do with it to help him out ad ive only done basic diagnostics on mine! If someone can give me some advice to help him out ill run over as hes not a million miles from me near j10 m6 ;)

Afternoon all, Daz fitted the new hub on Saturday so no more rumbling! The new key open and closes the car off the button so happy days! Wil2813 I brought the car from Solihull mate. Just got to diagnose which blend motor needs replacing and if the abs accumulator has gone altogether. Abs and tc lights on and the pedals hard. Does anyone run springs instead of air? Mines on springs and I think the rides a bit harsh/not right?

hi, mines was on coils when i bought it, it drove like a boat on a rough sea, bottomed out over every speed hump driving very steadily, on investigation they were britpart soft duty coils and, britpart something or other shocks, absolute crap, so invested in terrafirma medium duty coils & shocks £430 (which i should have invested in a donner p38 and took the air system of it,) (i still might do that) and its driveable , on moterways its fine, but in london its to hard, sometimes it ejects my cd player, before i do go to air, im going to put my discos coils on it with standard p38 shocks, if that dont work ill change over to air

Yeah mines great on the smooth stuff but around here the roads arent the best. Any one suggest tyre pressures? Its on 19inch wheels

im on 20s which dont help with 275/45/20 tyres set at 40 psi. when you have time get under the motor and see whats left of the air system? check for a cylinder (tank) under drivers seat strapped to the chassis. check for hight sensors left behind (mine had both rears left in place and all pipe work) under bonnet right hand side see if the air pump system is still there ( black box bolted to wheel arch behind air box) you never know you might be lucky, there are load of little bits and pieces that go into the air suspension to make it work that i bet are still there, try and get a diagram, regards bobby. ps does your car sit dead level ???. front to back, side to side ???.

Not had chance to get under the car yet but the box with all the pipes under the bonnet is still there. The car sits pretty level I think mate.

hi jwb125, well if all the gubins in that box works thats a big saving cos they are quite dear, some of our senior members will tell you what else to look for if thats the route your going to go down, im bidding on one of those pumps at the moment just incase the other coil and shock set up dont work, good luck anyway, bobby.
