Hi - I have just done a stupid thing!

We don't use the DSE P38 very much and today I found the battery was flat.
So I opened it with the key and tried the ignition to see lights came on.

I then popped the bonnet and got the jump leads out to jump start it.
However as soon as I touched the live jump leads on the DSE's battery the damn doors all locked with the only key we have in the ignition!!!!

And to top it all I then shut the bonnet in a temper... so I can't open it again!!!!

Does anyone know how I can open the door so I can get into the car please?

Thanks
Richard

if yer have them little sticky up buttons, you could most likey pull the top of the door out far enough to get a length of wire with a loop on the end in there to pull it up.
you only need pull it out about 4 or 5 mm , mig welding wire is good or a coat hanger but then yer have to get the shape just right

Or a piece of that plastic wot they band loads of planks tergever wiv. You fold it in half wiv a good crease and you can 'steer' it by pushing and pulling one of the halves.

Why don't you pop over in yer Micra an give him a hand Grippsy? You seem to know what yer doin..;)

Right folks... I got into my car.
Basically I used a large flat blade screw driver to leaver the top of the door open just enought to slip a wire coat hanger with a hook on it into the car past teh rubber seal.
I fiddled about and after about 10 min's I hooked the button and opened the car.
Thanks to everyone who replied - its a big help!

The tennis ball lock opener is a load of CR*p, see Mythbuster clip in related clips that debunk it, also "you cannot open a lock with a tennis ball" from |autoblog.....sorry.

If you can and it will probaly mean identity hassle, contact RR dealer for possible solution. AA man opened an Omega of mine in same situation after consulting vauxhall motors who told him where to access wiring loom and which two colour wires to bridge. He ended up hooking wiring loom out through gap between where it went into boot lid from body, sticking two probes into the named wires and,,,open seasame!! ( he did say not to watch which wires he bridged).

Not sure it will help but it might be worth it before actually busting anything to get access.
