lock barrel removal

I have just taken the lock mechanism off my landrover door (old style lift up handles) and can't figure out how to get the barrel out. I want to replace them. Any advice,as always, very much appreciated.Thanx.

some where on the lock body there should be a small hole with a pin in it. you need to push the pin right in then the barrel should come out

You may also need the key to do this, put it in and with the pin in turn it, then it should pop out.

OK chaps, got the barrel out, replaced it and now the new barrel just spins round in the lock without actuating the locking mechanism. The door handles that I have are lift up handles on outside with lock directly above, and remote "pull style" handles on inside so I hope I don't have to replace these. I tried putting old barrel back in but it just does the same!! What have I done wrong??

Try shunting it back and forth in the housing to get it to locate.

Thanks for advice but I think i have to get new locks, well at least two anyway.
Any suggestions where i can get early defender/late series type locks with lift up handles on outside and remote "black flap" on inside. I dont need the handle bits just the lock part.
