removing ignition switch lock barrel

I can't remove the lock barrel.
Luckily i do have the key for this lock - so i have pushed the pin in a fair way, turned the lock to position 1. I was hoping the barrel would then come out, but it doesn't seem to want to move.
What I am doing wrong?
