Can anyone tell me the location of the IAT sensor on a 2012 Freelander.

The throttle body is blanked on mine, I believe in later versions the IAT was integrated with the MAF, though not sure from when.

Was it located anywhere else other than the throttle body and integrated in the MAF?

Getting an IAT sensor fault so I need to replace… when I can locate it…. Occasional hunting/ near stalling issues at idle and noticeable reduction in fuel efficiency since the hunting started..

Thanks for the insights..

Hi There.
lots of confusing info about this hopefully this thread below might help.

Thanks for that, looks like I have the combined MAF and IAT unit, there are 4 wires from the MAF housing beside the air filter..

It gets more confusing .. for me anyway.

Photo of the ‘IAT’ with Volvo label, on the inlet to the intercooler.

Part number 0 261 230 296 no longer available, according to motorfactor Bosch part 0 261 230 295 is the equivalent…

Now when you look these parts up on line some show the sensor at this location as a combined IAT and pressure sensor, others just ref IAT, others ref pressure sensor only…

You can see the connector only has 2 wires coming out of it in the photo to the harness.

The new Bosch part has 4 connecting pins, and the harness connector looks like it could have another 2 wires in it…

At a loss now as to whether this part is the IAT and or inlet pressure sensor, and whether both IAT and pressure sensors can function operate off only 2 wires.

My throttle has the blank on it so IAT not there.

The MAF on my car has 4 wires on it, pictured, could this be a combined MAF and IAT?

First world problems I know but it shouldn’t be this difficult…

Any additional advice appreciated my chassis is H282371 in case that shields any light..

Cheers

I have no idea about the freelanders.
But It may be ok to run the Volvo part. We run Volvo headlight bulbs (cos they is cheaper than JLR) it was a JLR/Volvo dealer (guy on the parts desk) who suggested/provided so there could obviously be many crossover parts that both manufacturer's use.
Same Bosch part different label.
Where your extra wires go, I dont know, if anywhere ;)

Cant help anymore.

I tried the other number 6G9N 128676AB.

The images show for Range Rover Evoque & Range Rover, Focus, etc MAP sensors.

0261230296 also brings up the same MAP sensor
