The fuse blew a couple of times for the right hand side lights and dash lights and now i have no head lights or rear lights. Have not found cause of original fuse blowing yet but don't understand why other lights have gone as head light fuses ok. any ideas?

Can't explain why you have no headlights but had similar problem with right hand side and tail lights blowing fuses.
Found it to be a short just where the wiring loom for the rear lights etc enters the chassis leg, just at the bend in front of the rear cross member on the drivers side.
You'll see where I mean if you look just behind the driver's side back wheel. It is covered in a corrugated plastic shield and mine had worn thru' with all the rubbing against the chassis.
This cured my side light problem and also dash board lights too.
Hope this helps!

I located the problem eventually! it would apear i have a bare wire within the chassis as if i pull wires out at rear of drivers side rear wheel the fuse does not blow, but if i push wires back in a bit it blows. i can't see any bare wire so it must be inside so it looks like i will have to cut and pull wire through. I think sidelight wire has burnt through and also melted adjacent indicator wire causing problems in these areas!!
