Driving along, lights went out on Dash, speedo stopped working, rev counter, fuel guage and temp gauge. No mileage read out, is this a fuse gone and if so which one please

The question is, what caused the fuse to fail, if indeed it has failed?

Turns out that the Radio/CD player fitted in August was faulty. Went back to the installers (halfrauds) who replaced it immediately with a new unit.
It was fuse number 1, this controls the instrument panel, radio and centre consul. So members, if anything like this happens to you, then you know what fuse to change but not forgetting to find out the cause.
