Life after death?

Can a battery thats gone flat in this cold weather be brought back to life?My Halfords 700CCA died on me ( no idea how old it is), and is now on an Optimate trickle charger for the w/e. Can it be made strong enough to do its job again consistently or as it went flat will it just do it again?

It'll never be the same again...can be re-charged but somewhere down the line in the not too distant future, you are going to be getting a shiny, shiny new battery.
