LED stop/tail lights

looking to upgrade mine,has anyone got the wipac version?LED stop tail brake Light lamp LandRover Defender Kit Car 74mm 12v 24v | eBay

one of the lads was following me on the m/way and said the rear lights are crap,i currently have clear lens with red bulbs,so would leds improve visibility to others?

Ive got a set to fit to mine (get round to it) I got the set which are stop, tail and indicators.

They are chuffin bright compared to the normal ones.

They were £15 a pop

Also got the LED reversing light which seems to put out quite a few more lumens that the original (helps seeing where stuff is in the dark obviously)

and the rear fog.

I cant find em on ebay at the minute, i think they are made by lucas though from memory and they are all clear etc.

At the risk of you both shouting at me....I have to say I don't like em. I find they're to big, somwhat elephant like!!!

Can you just not clean / replace your lenses.?!

lenses and bulbs only a year old,very clean TBH,only doing the brake lights

the ones in my link look the same size

I think the same about some of them, but you can buy them so they're the same as original but led, which is what I'd go for.

Ah if they're the same size as the original than that's a completely different matter. Lol sorry I'm unable to open the link on my phone.

Normally these LEDs lamps are very similar to the NAS spec fog and revers lamps.

I've put wipac one ones on mine same size as a standard defender light but a lot brighter and look smart!

Could get LED 'bulbs' for the original fittings..

Bout £120 from m&m 4x4 good service, quick delivery and look smart on mine

LEDs in the standard holders are pants, get the standard size led direct replacements

Yes, you can get NAS sized LEDs or standard sized ones. I got standard ones about a year ago and they've been great. People keep coming up to me and saying how much they like them. Mine came from Bolt On Bits near Bradford which seemed to be the best value at the time, but shop around as prices are changing all the time.

Had to drill new holes and change wiring connectors to earlier style. Work great much brighter than old lights.

Yup, they've come down in price since I bought mine. If only I'd waited. If you're in the neighbourhood, Bolt on Bits's showroom is worth a look too. Lots of nifty gadgets. Perhaps not a good idea if you're prone to migraine or epilepsy though!

i bought the wipac ones,they are my chrimbo present off the mrs,she wanted to get me new trainers,dont see the point TBH

Am considering this mod myself, just being a typical tight northener!!!
